Here’s me having a go with Substack. Who knows what if anything this will turn into, but for now I’m going to write about Alberta and what it could be if we had more freedom. Oh, and I’m going to finally get rewarded for all the unpublished Letters to the Editors I send, but rarely see published. I’m going to publish them myself on Substack.
A word about me: I moved to Alberta from Vancouver Island for two years thirty-six years ago. Let me tell you, when you spend your childhood, and your twenties bouncing between West Vancouver and the Comox Valley, you are all but indoctrinated to believe there’s no better place than aptly named Beautiful British Columbia. So, what’s the attraction to Alberta? Albertans, their entrepreneurial spirit, and the ambitious people who come here from all over the world to become Albertans.
I should mention that there’s a lot of natural beauty here, too. In fact, there’s also a lot of unnatural beauty here, but that’s just me - I love industry.
Feel free to browse around the site and see what I’m up to. If you like what you see, and you’re also interested in freedom and seeing Alberta—and Albertans—reach our full potential, spread the word to like-minded friends, and also to those who might feel differently. Respectfully clarifying divergent viewpoints helps everyone learn and grow.
And now, a word about our sponsors. That’s you, actually. If you like the content I produce here, (or even if you don’t like it, but feel it has value) please contribute. Simply taking a free subscription will be a help; especially if you forward posts to friend and foe alike. If you’re inclined, a paid subscription will assist Vive l’Alberta Libre with research, editing and graphics.
